June 2nd. Saturday -The surface winds begin to look good again on Saturday June 2. withe the rains disappearing, mostly. Winds aloft look good with a decreasing trend in strength if your looking at the NAM. The GFS model suggests an increase in wind speed in the PM…WE shall see.

June 3rd. Sunday – Looks to fall apart again as winds increase from a big storm cell predicted to pass north of us along the I-40. I doubt that Sunday lets us do much training with surface winds switching from north to the south.

It is clear that a lot of water is in the environment around here and it will take a few days to drain and dry out. The winds look to be settling down around Tuesday and maintaining a N component. The good flying is coming! June has arrived. And with it the XC action here at Flying Camp. Be sure to check in when your headed this way so we can help oriented you to the program and connect you with shuttle rides to launch or retrieve pick ups after you have gone the distance.
